Mr. Wechter is the CEO and Managing Director of Monument. Since Monument was founded in 1996, Mr. Wechter has been responsible for the overall management of Monument and has been active in the sourcing, negotiation, underwriting, closing and disposition of MCP1 and MCP2 investments while executing management-led, leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations.

Prior to founding Monument, Mr. Wechter served in the Office of the Chairman as President and Director of ADESA Corporation (NASDAQ: SOLD), the second largest auto auction chain in the world and the largest used car floor plan finance company in the U.S. ADESA was formerly a publicly traded company, was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Allete, Inc. (formally Minnesota Power, Inc.), a diversified company based in Duluth, Minnesota, and recently completed the spin-off of ADESA to the public (NYSE: KAR). Mr. Wechter also served on Allete's (NYSE: ALL) management committee.

Mr. Wechter currently serves as the Chairman of the board of Foam Rubber Products, LLC, Felins USA, Inc., Instrument Development Corporation, Inc., and Separators, Inc., all portfolio companies of MCP2. Mr. Wechter currently serves on the board of Finish Master, Inc. (NASDAQ:FMST) and has served on many other public company boards including Crossmann Communities, Inc. (NASDAQ:CROS), where he chaired their audit committee. Mr. Wechter currently serves on the board of the Ball State University School of Entrepreneurship, the Midwest Entrepreneurship Education Association, and the Indiana University's Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Mr. Wechter has been active in all portfolio companies of MCP1 and MCP2. Mr. Wechter has held NASD Series 7, 24, 27 and 63 securities licenses and is a CPA.
